Lightning Aircraft Experimental Model

Super! There was a project to up engine the P-38 with Packard Merlin engines but never happened. Actually two engine planes make great ground attack aircracft like the A-26 which served into the Vietnam War. How about a "A-38" Lighting-Strike at Tan san Not airbase in 1966. Turbine engines, a bubble canopy with room for the rear-seat weapons controller and a ton of modern under-wing ordnance. Painted the usual South-East Asia Tan and dark green with some Playboy-style nose-art.
